Mazaika Duo, made up of two highly talented, passionate and versatile musicians, offers an intoxicating blend of Russian Folk and Gypsy songs, classical showpieces, tango and Igor's original compositions. On violin and accordion, Sarah and Igor will be playing in our vast Thames Tunnel shaft, 50 foot below ground.
Sarah Harrison is a violin virtuoso and improviser. Igor Outkine is a Russian singer and a master accordion player. Artists they have worked with include Marc Almond, Fascinating Aida, Antonio Forcione, Django Bates and Loyko.
Access to the underground venue involves bending low through a short tunnel and descending a solid scaffold staircase. We recommend an extra layer and flat shoes.
