Hey, summer's here and what better way to celebrate than with our "Shake The Shacklewell" alldayer at London's coolest venue The Shacklewell Arms on Aug 2nd, featuring five of Fortuna POP!'s finest acts with more bands still yet to be announced.

Headlining are the thrilling Cardiff-based noisepop five-piece Joanna Gruesome fresh from the success of the stunning debut album Weird Sister, followed closely by psych-pop contenders The Proper Ornaments with their blend of the Velvets and the Byrds. Not to mention Edinburgh indiekids The Spook School - sure to bring a smile to the face with their sing-a-long-a Pavement tunes and offbeat lyrics, Durham-based vegan straight-edgers Martha with their energetic, impassioned DIY pop punk, and the incredible Flowers, with Rachel Kenedy's heart-stoppingly incredible voice (think Liz Fraser, think Harriet Wheeler - that good!) the perfect foil for Sam Ayres' furious riffage.
We've also got snotty radge pop from all-girl five-piece No Ditching; The Wharves, the latest signing from our friends Gringo Records (the people who brought you Hookworms); and, as a special exotic treat, we've Thee Ahs, a bubble-gum, indiepop band from Vancouver, Canada.

Come along, grab yourself a pint of great beer (The Shacklewell always has a range of craft beers on tap) and a burger or a hot dog (Big Apple Hot Dogs are resident in the kitchen), hang out in the beer garden, watch some seriously great bands and help us Shake The Shackwell.
