Nick Hornby’s adaption of Sunday Times journalist Lynn Barber’s memoir of her teenage love affair with an older man in 1960s suburban London.
Attractive, bright, sixteen-year-old Jenny lives with her parents whose ambition is for her to go to Oxford. She can’t wait to be an adult. Handsome, smooth, older man, David, appears in town and takes her to classical music concerts, art auctions and long dinners. A coming-of-age tale of seduction.
