As part of the EFG London Jazz Festival critically acclaimed vocalist Emily Saunders hosts a night featuring some of the most exciting musicians on the London scene.

Critically acclaimed Emily Saunders, marked as 'one to look out for' by The Guardian's John Fordham, previews her new album 'Outsiders Insiders' the follow up to her standout debut 'Cotton Skies'. 'Outsiders Insiders' is already creating a word of mouth buzz prior to its release showcasing the upbeat summer grooves and Brazilian influences displayed on her debut, contrasted with reflective chillout. Influences include Chick Corea, Airto Moreira and Portishead. The band highlights international trumpeter Byron Wallen, "one of the most innovative, exciting and original trumpet players alive" - Jazzwise Magazine (played with Courtney Pine, Mica Paris, Loose Ends), Steve Pringle, piano (worked with Joss Stone, Michael Kiwanuka, Abram Wilson, Denys Baptiste and won Jon Hassell Memorial Prize for Jazz [2010]), Paul Michael, bass (Julian Joseph and Liane Carroll).

Partikel have forged a name for themselves as being one of the most dynamic and forward looking bands working on the European Jazz scene combining styles from West African, Latin American and jazz traditions to create a high energy and fiercely interactive band sound. Tonight Partikel will be performing material from their latest album "String Theory" due to be released Spring 2015 on Whirlwind Recordings
