Tom Hardy is brilliant in Locke as he manages to turn the logistics of pouring concrete (his job) into a nail biting thriller. During a two hour car journey to the premature birth of a love child Ivan Locke phones all the important people in his life and everything changes. Almost the entire film takes place within a BMW X5, which was driven down the M1 motorway on a flatbed truck. Shooting took place in real time, and the filmmakers only took breaks to change the cameras' memory cards.
