The School
www.myspace.com/theschoolband
Debut release from Cardiff's female fronted The School on limited edition 7" pink vinyl on Elefant records. The School play sunshine pop with moments of light and shadow, the kind of infectious, hyper-melodic pop you can simultaneously cry and dance to. Sophisticated, happy songs, with a little melancholy thrown in. the tracks were produced by Ian Catt (Saint Etienne, Trembling Blue Stars) and combine indie-pop and a shimmering 60's style production. Think Kirsty Maccoll, think Camera Obscura, think 60's girl pop. Absolute perfection. Bring on the album - Rough Trade
Flicklisten

Influenced by light pollution, adjective nouns, sick sicks sickckckcks siick, long flower pedals, fountain sick, man-made bubbles inside of bubbles, 1958 Chevrolets, contained oil spills, i was born in a car accident, je tens les bras, please answering machines, standing behind conversations, your poor insane mother, zero trigger fingers, fun is for assholes, Claude Cahun and Kurt Kren, fun slamming.
The Puncture Repair Kit
www.myspace.com/theprk
The Puncture Repair Kit fell over their strawberry shoelaces and landed head-first in a gig for Cambridge Ladyfest on the 31st March 2007. Since then they've been spinning round in little circles giggling. They'll probably be sick in a minute then they might do some more practising. I do hope so. If their mothers could see them now I don't know what they'd think.
