Belshazzar's Feast + John Dowling and Rex Hunter

John Dowling is one of Britain's top Banjo players. He's the only European to have won first prize awards in the USA. He here performs as a duo, joined by Rex Hunter on the Mandolin. John will be performing and showcasing material from his forthcoming solo album, recorded in a Cornish Tin Mine! It's pretty progressive stuff, and far from simply scruggs pickin' (I think the term is New Grass?!).


Belshazzar's Feast are a lively duo exploring traditional English Music AND Dance, albeit in an unorthodox manner which often ruffled feathers!!


As ever with the Magpie's Nest we have an Open Mic section to start the evening. Please arrive 7:30pm to sign up.
