WHITE GOD AT THE SHADOW BOX

short film Contrapelo

LONDON: The Shadow Box

WED 13TH MAY, 2015 Doors 7pm for 7.30pm start

The Shadow Box Exteme Characters season comes to a close with WHITE GOD, Hungarian director Kornél Mundruczó's sensational film about cross-breed dog HAGAN and his 13-year-old owner LILI's journey to get back to each after they are torn apart. Is it a fairy tale, a satire on power relations, a thriller by way of a Bourne film... you decide.

Framing a canine as protagonist, Mundruczó's film defies classification and is all the stronger for it. A piece of purely cinematic storytelling that is made for the big screen. Don't miss out.

Before the main feature, we're delighted to be screening short film CONTRAPELO. Screening at festivals internationally and picking up multiple awards en-route, the tale of a barber's encounter with the leader of a drug cartel marks out Mexican director Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer as a talent to watch.

The Shadow Box returns with the tip top projection and sound system, squishy sofas & chairs, Tyrrells popcorn and welcome drinks you've come to expect. With only 25 seats, tickets won't last long.
