Just in time for Halloween, Certificate X invites you to howl at the moon with a special screening of the Euro-horror cult classic Werewolf Woman (La Lupa Mannara)
Directed by Rino Di Silvestro (Italy 1979)

Tormented by dreams that she is a werewolf, Daniele (Annik Borel) seduces men and rips their throat out with her fangs during sex. But life gets very complicated when she falls in love and then becomes the victim of a violent crime. Hell bent on bloody revenge she becomes totally feral, beginning a decent into madness and murder. Is Daniele really possessed by the spirit of a lycanthropic ancestor?
A favourite of Quentin Tarantino, this low budget Euro cult gem from the director of drugsploitation shocker Hanna D: The Girl from Vondel Park and outrageous Deported Women of the SS Special Section is, as you would expect, fantastically warped and gory fun.
Released on video in 1981 following a limited cinema release (“From the stillness of the night comes the terror” screamed the UK poster), it made it onto the Manchester police list of “video nasties” (but escaped the national list). It has wallowed in obscurity since then... until now!
