LADYHAWK (Vancouver, BC)

For those of you who enjoy your rock\'n\'roll soaked in alcohol, we have good news.
Yep, we\'re rather wildly excited to host the first UK show by these Canuck misty mountain blues rockers who are over here to blast out songs from their excellent \'Shots\' album, their second for the tasty Jagjaguwar label (Black Mountain, Bon Iver etc).
This is not classic rock; this is not southern rock. It\'s not grunge, and it\'s certainly not Americana. \'Shots\' is a step forward toward someplace your compass doesn\'t point.
Recalling Dinosaur Jr\'s drive as adroitly as some of Neil Young\'s darker notions, Ladyhawk can play as fast and loose as they can bowed and bloody. - MOJO
Not quite prairie rock, and a little too evolved to be tagged straight rock ’n’ roll, Shots defies exact classification. Immediate emotional connections, FM choruses that don’t feel lightweight, and a huge helping, naturally, of melancholia. - DROWNEDINSOUND
sheer head-nodding, play-loud-and-prosper enjoyment - UNCUT

THE TAILORS (London)

A joyful celebration of people who are flawed and broken and lost and blue, The Tailors draw from elements of folk, garage-rock and the soulful pop of 70\'s AM country radio whilst mixing the outsider weirdness of bands like the Silver Jews with the country-tinged powerpop of early Wilco. Their debut album \'Wakey Wakey\' got great reviews across the board from Q magazine to Adam\'s local paper. The follow-up is expected sometime.
the best country-tinged indie-pop since the Lemonheads - Maverick magazine
