Event information
Anglo-French chanteuse Brooke Sharkey's music travels from the delicately intimate to soaringly epic, sung with one of the finest voices in roots music today. Armed with a stunning set of songs, she takes in influences from French ballads to English folk and gypsy romanticism and infuses all with an utterly contemporary edge, her intense and expressive style drawing the listener into her songs with a spacious backdrop of chanson, blues, folk and Latin music.
Her latest EP 'I crossed the line' was released on the 28th May 2014 at Wilton's Music Hall, London and Brooke is currently working on her new album with her band members, due to be released in April 2016. She plays tonight backed by her full three piece band.
