The Southwark Sinfonietta was formed by Michael Brooks and Matthew Redfearn in 2005 from a varied group of local musicians. The orchestra is similar in size to those which composers from Bach to Schubert wrote for. Their programme is designed to give attractive music for a Sunday afternoon concert.
