Nigel Mazlyn Jones plays 12 and 6 string acoustic guitars weaving sounds and creating atmospheres that have entranced audiences on the live and festival circuits since 1976. Well known on the UK festival scene he has often toured UK and European major venues supporting well known bands like Barclay James Harvest, Renaissance and Bob Geldof and collaborated with Steve Hillage, Banco de Gaia, Roy Harper and Guy Evans of Van Der Graaf Generator on various projects. NMJ music has also featured on many TV and radio programmes.

NMJ has recorded eleven albums. His first 2 albums Ship to Shore and Sentinel have been re-released. Echoing Ship to Shore the latest album ‘Raft’ also features his 12 string dexterity. Guest players include Guy Evans, drummer-percussionist with Van Der Graaf Generator and Rog Patterson on beautiful fretless bass. NMJ loves the natural world once working in conservation with the great apes for Gerald Durrell’s Wildlife Trust. Living near the Cornish coast these influences are woven into his music. Greg Hancock returned to live performance relatively recently after many years living overseas. Over many years he has developed a unique finger-picking guitar style that was influenced early on by players such as Nic Jones and Joni Mitchell... and of course... Nigel Mazlyn Jones!

His songs tell stories, paint portraits and present vignettes exploring the oddness and frailty of everyday life in the modern world. Greg has appeared twice before at St Paul's Church - both times with his musical collaborator, Jo Hooper, on cello. This will be a solo performance which allows for a greater degree of spontanaity and improvisation!
