Event information
Originally from Grantham, Callaghan moved from London to Atlanta in the summer of 2010. Since then she has built up a growing reputation in both the America and the UK, playing sold out shows in both countries.
She is one of those performers whose genuine sweetness is apparent in her voice and it shines through in her writing. Her music blurs the edges between pop, adult contemporary and Americana.
In the UK, Bob Harris has been a strong supporter regularly playing her music and describing her as 'a wonderful artist and hugely talented' BBC London's Gabby Roslin describes hearing Callaghan live as 'breathtaking and absolutely incredible.
Callaghan's songs reflect moments and experiences from her own life, as well as stories that people have shared with her. Rather than being strictly biographical the songs are written in a universal way, allowing the audience to connect the songs to their own lives.
The 2017 UK tour will offer the first opportunity to hear some new songs Callaghan recently recorded in LA.
She will be accompanied by Peter Rinaldi on guitar and Dan Snyder on keyboards.
Playing support will be Robert Vincent, a searingly honest Liverpool singer whose mix of folk, rock and blues is like a Merseyside Van Morrison or a scouse Springsteen, 'He is the real deal' - Bob Harris.
