UK-based songwriter/guitarist and South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee Gwyn Ashton re-defines the term ‘solo artist’ by delivering a high-energy blues-rock show, wrenching dirty slide guitar licks out of a pre-war National steel and other old guitars through an array of vintage fuzz boxes, organ pedals and amplifiers. For the past three years Ashton has been successfully breaking in his solo show, playing over 800 gigs, touring Australia, Russia and Europe, has just recently performed in Ireland with Rory Gallagher\'s band and is recording with some musicians in England from Black Sabbath, Whitesnake and Robert Plant\'s band for another upcoming project.
Solo Elektro is Gwyn’s new one-man stoner, distorto blues-rock album. Full of chord-crunching fuzz guitar, dirty octave dividers and slamming kick drum, it’s a 100% explosive live-in-the-studio recording.
