BTGR is coming to the Midlands for a special showcase of three of our favourite London artists.

Forty Elephant Gang are a rousing and innovative guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin wielding four piece from East London. Their songs relay tales of heartbreak, misdeeds and revelry, presented with rich harmonies on a textural musical canvas.

Tom Hyatt\'s explosive, clarion tenor delivers dynamic and forthright songs, faithfully distilling the singer/songwriter genre down to its most compelling roots. Working solo, Hyatt’s varied repertoire is performed with either a propulsive, percussive guitar or a fluid, contemplative piano. When joined by regular collaborators Maya McCourt (cello) or Tom Lees (piano), the sound expands to take on further dimensions. Often attracting comparisons to the likes of Jackson Browne, John Martyn or Nick Drake, his shows recall past greats whilst being firmly placed on the cutting edge.

Amy Gillespie is a London based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. She has just released a self-produced EP, titled Seventh Wave, inspired by the process of raw, live-take, acoustic recording a la Dylan, Neil Young, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, to name but a few.
