Event information

I’m pleased to introduce Kadia, the fast rising young folk trio from Dorset. They perform a galvanizing mix of quality traditional and cutting edge original folk songs. Combining cello, fingerstyle guitar, and mandolin with stunning three part harmony, they create rich and uplifting music interspersed with history and storytelling. Their live performances have built them a fearsome reputation, and have been described as "sublime" and "unforgettable".

Last year, they performed on Main Stage 2 at the Cambridge Folk Festival alongside La Vent du Nord, Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys, and Wildwood Kin. This adds to an ever increasing list of respected festivals including Oxford, Priddy and Purbeck Valley Folk Festivals. Kadia have also had the opportunity to support Nancy Kerr, Jackie Oates, Jim Moray, Chris Leslie, Gilmore and Roberts, The Willows, Moulettes, Nizlopi, Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston, and Ninebarrow among many others.

Since the release of their debut album, ‘East of Alexandria’ Kadia have massively increased their profile as a national folk trio. The album made the Telegraph Top Folk Albums of the Year and was nominated for Debut Album of the Year by Fatea Magazine.

In April this year, Kadia launched “The Outlandish Collection”, an EP of traditional songs and tunes arranged by the group and a follow up to the award nominated debut album ‘East of Alexandria’.

They will be supported by Elizabeth & Jameson, who are the duo of Griff Jameson (Fred's House) and Hannah Elizabeth (Said the Maiden).

Tickets £12 in advance and £14 on the door

Doors at 7pm, music at 7:40pm.
