One of Britain’s most charismatic and influential dancehall toasters with a distinctive gravely voice and style of his own, Macka B started his career by winning a talent contest way back in 1982. He has since enjoyed a series of number ones in reggae albums and singles charts across the globe with numbers such as Proud of Mandela, Peace Cup, We’ve Had Enough and Squeeze Me, Buppie Culture, Here Comes Trouble and Sign of the Times. Tonight’s show will feature Macka’s ultra-tight, seven-strong Royale Roots Band laying down classic reggae rhythms for his conscious, perceptive and often humorous songs. Peachy Farmer provide live support with Radio Bush Telegraph and other FSOE DJs spinning reggae classics in the auditorium and bar.
