Strong double-bill featuring new wave jazz from MATT GEDRYCH’s MADDADDAM: CLARA SERRA vocals/effects, ALEX HITCHCOCK tenor sax, JACK BANJO COURTNEY trumpet/flugelhorn, ALEX VEITCH keyboard, BENEDICT WOOD guitar/effects, BOZ MARTIN-JONES drums, ARTHUR NEWELL drums & MATT GEDRYCH electric bass MaddAddam is an octet of London-based jazz musicians playing original compositions drawn from the diverse sounds and emotions the city inspires. Influenced by the ensembles and mighty compositions of the likes of Kenny Wheeler and Brian Blade, the octet plays music that focuses on strong melodies, driving rhythms and improvisation. + groove based music from the MATTHEW READ TRIO: MATTHEW READ bass, ARTHUR NEWHALL drums & BENEDICT WOOD guitar - Doors open: 6pm, Music: 8-11pm - £10/£8 advance
