Event information

Three top purveyors of contemporary songwriting take turns to introduce and perform songs from their repertoire in a more informal atmosphere than usual, with plenty of banter and interaction with each other and the audience! This format is a great way to compare and contrast the individual approaches the artists take to modern songwriting.

GREG HANCOCK www.greghancockmusic.com
Based in the South West, Greg has built a strong reputation as a songwriter and performer over the last few years. His 2017 album "A303" was widely acclaimed for its highly original songwriting and rich lyrics dealing with many aspects of the human condition in modern life. A new album "The Ste of My Hair" release will coincide with this tour.

**** A delightful collection…Great stuff! R&R Magazine Jan 2018
“A303″ is the finest folk album I have had the pleasure of listening to for years.” Blues and Roots Radio Review

STEVE PLEDGER www.stevepledger.co.uk
Over the last few years, Steve has built a considerable following all over the country. His last two albums were received with great enthusiasm and were chosen for several "best of the year" selections. His songs are written direct from his passionate feelings on diverse topics, and he is a rare artist who is more than happy to express political ideas in song: wherever, he sees injustice, discrimination and bad government...it won't be long before Steve has condensed his feelings into beautifuly crafted words set to haunting melodies.

Sam Slatcher (www.samslatcher.com )
Sam is a musician, singer-songwriter and community arts facilitator. Sam is passionate about engaging different communities in the process of storytelling through songwriting. His honest and reflective songwriting captures the humanity of the people and places he’s encountered, rooted in the social and political landscapes of folk music.
