P | Saturday 25th May, 2019 |
N | 10:30pm |
Saturday May 25th, Des Was A Bowie Fan at the Dalston Victoria. A hazy, dream-soaked night of indiepop, post-punk, new wave and Northern Soul dancing behind the book-shelves.
"One of London's best indie / soul clubs" - NME
Before the club we welcome Lewes cult heroes The Indelicates to the heart of Saturday night, a poetic rebel fist of a band from the outside of everything to oil the floor. Come early and have a good one with us.

Des Was a Bowie Fan is a London clubnight founded in 2013 at the Tutu's nightclub on the Strand. It has since played out residencies at East End venues Jamboree, The George Tavern and Paper Dress Vintage, creating feral and ageless Pop dancing havens for lovers and dreamers. Guest DJs at the club in its London incarnation have included Eddie Argos of Art Brut, Darren Hayman of John Peel favourites Hefner, and feminist author and post-punk musician Helen McCookerybook. It is Wales' 600th most successful export across the bridge, coming in just before Gindrinker's ode to darts in popular culture and just after Shakin' Stevens' autobiography.
