The Green Note Festival of Latin Music presents... MAGNUS MEHTA'S PEÑA featuring ROWLAND SUTHERLAND
Spirited, spontaneous and authentic Latin music.

Drawing primarily on the music of Cuba, Peña play an invigorating mixture of Son, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Bolero and Latin Jazz. Led by percussionist Magnus Mehta, Peña’s members are amongst the finest Latin players in the UK, with playing credits as illustrious as Airto, Jimmy Bosch, Septeto Matamoros, and Anga Diaz.
Expect an inspiring and danceable sound that will leave you refreshed and energised.
Flautist Rowland Sutherland is a world class musician who enjoys an international career in many fields of music. His credits are staggering: Flora Purim, Olodum, Frank Wess, Joyce, Courtney Pine, The Philharmonia, Joss Stone, and Incognito, to name a few!
Magnus Mehta is one of the most creative and versatile percussionists in the UK. He enjoys working in many genres and has performed and/or recorded with Septeto Matamoros, (Cuba) Joaquin Pozo, (Cuba) The Royal National Theatre, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Numan Elyer (Rhythm Sticks Festival), Sister Bliss (Faithless), Jon Hiseman, Racheal Portman, and various West End shows.

PLEASE NOTE: the venue comprises both seated and standing space. There are a limited number of tables. These are allocated on a first come first served basis, with priority given to diners. If you’d like a table, please ensure you arrive early (doors open 7pm).
