FIRST AID KIT - The Swedish duo First Aid Kit comprises sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg (born 1990 and 1993, respectively), hailing from Enskede, a suburb south of Stockholm. Yes, they are very young, but the pure music they create speaks of bygone times and old souls. The emphasis is on narrative lyrics accompanying playful melodies with intense, dense harmonies. This sees a special exclusive headline show as part of a handful of festival appearances in the UK.

BLUE ROSES - Hailing from Shipley near Bradford, Laura Groves formed Blue Roses as an outlet for her songwriting and performance. Signed to XL Recordings, Influences spanning genres and generations; from Bartók to Bush, Tiersen to Tears For Fears, Debussy to Du Maurier. Live Groves is joined by Sadie Anderson of Chrome Hoof fame - doing violin/viola, glockenspiel, kick-drum, harmonica, harmonies and heck probably just about anything possible.

KILL IT KID - For want of an easy comparison, a blend Tom Waits, Anthony Hegarty and The Raconteurs has been mentioned. On the excellent One Little Indian Records, Kill It Kid sound very much their own - an impassioned, adventurous slant on blues and dark pop through powerful songs, gorgeous two-part vocals and a penchant for down-home storytelling.
