Take 6 is a major project improving public access to the archives of the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library by making six important collections available online. In celebration of both the collections and the project the English Folk Dance and Song Society presents the Take 6 Concert.
Containing songs from each of the collectors: Janet Blunt, George Butterworth, Frank Collinson, George Gardiner, Anne Gilchrist and The Hammond Brothers, this varied musical afternoon narrated by Shirley Collins and Tim Laycock will see performances from Andy Turner, Tim Laycock, Craig Morgan Robson, The Askew Sisters and the Addebury Village Morris Men.
A pre-concert talk on George Gardiner by Bob Askew (1pm) and the launch of The Axford Project CD by Craig Morgan Robson and The Askew Sisters will also take place on the day.
