Our last in this run of Friday Folk Nights at the Stoke Newington International Airport. For this one we focus on songs and singers, and have a great selection of acts.
Sam Carter with Band - Sam is an exquisite guitarist and songwriter, and has been known to dabble in traditional material too.
Plaster of Paris - Molly's soaring operatic vocals and a wonder to behold, saucy and quirky and jumping through many an octave - captivating!
The Woodlarks - we're proud that the Woodlarks met at a Magpie's Nest night, and it's with pleasure we support their musical career. Plus, they are very good at harmony singing and writing songs.
Theo Bard - the Guardian dubbed him the "Urban Philosopher", with lyrics featuring witty and pertinent observations on modern life in the city, packed with some great guitar picking
The venue is the Stoke Newington International Airport, a hidden (not secret!) art space in the heart of Stoke Newington - hidden in the sense that it is tucked away and a little tricky to find, but is an amazing space a million miles away from what you might expect! Come check it out!
The address is:
