Journ’Act presents:

BANDS::DUBSTEP::DnB::BREAKS::ELECTRO::TECHNO::LIVE PERFORMANCE::LIFE

Summer is back, so is Journ’Act. To celebrate the launch of the third edition of its magazine, Journ’Act is gathering the cream of London and Paris artists for an eclectic night featuring live bands, DJ’s, VJ’s, live performers and hot art .

Sanjuro
Gipsy Rock/Folk
Sanjuro’s eclectic line-up promises to deliver a tangy gipsy-rock-swing set. Jean-Pierre’s fizzy violin and a wild Romanian accordionist are staples on the London scene, catch tunes from their latest albums before they begin their French tour.

Alien Alias
Live Dubstep n Breaks
Underground bass, deep beats and an evil guitar cross the Channel to set you up for the night. With their deep alternative sound from the ‘Paris 20éme’, this French trio have made a name for themselves in Paris and beyond . Think out of the box, and you are there.

Engine-EarZ
Live electronics / Experimental
BBC music compares them to the likes of Massive Attack, The Prodigy or Asian Dub Foundation. ‘A fusion of traditional Asian beats with booming dubstep and screaming guitars’, they say. The rising crew has its music on Radio 1 and will just get back from Glastonbury to offer us a live set featuring keyboards, vocals and horns and whatever else is lying around. Come and see them before they get too famous.

Bossmanchief
Breakbeat
Two South London-based DJs with a serious pedigree. Whether it’s collaborating with Tricky and So Solid’s Face or supporting the likes of Roni Size, NAPT and SOTO, prepare yourself for hardcore breaks, bouncing fidget, wubbing dubstep, bassline, big disco…

Larry Sun
Garage/Breakbeat
Turning 25 can be tough, but being awarded 3rd prize in the DJoust European DJ helped soften the blow for this…

SebMarx
Progressive Techno
KSS label, a staple of the London underground electro scene, present one of its finest DJ, SebMarx…. Not to miss.

DJon
DnB
Old school d’n’b dark as f*** will satisfy the original lovers of DnB. French Revival of ‘La Belle Epoque’, DJon is DJ Resident at the finest Parisain Club ‘Sai Sai’. Be still there and square!
