The Nest Collective and English Folk Expo invite you to enjoy a beautiful fireside concert with Gasper Nali.

Rediscover one of life’s simplest joys – the sharing of live music in the glow of a campfire.

Every summer, we gather in beautiful green spaces within cities to hear extraordinary music by artists from all over the world.

In the simple way that people have done for thousands of years, we come together around the fire to enjoy music, food, drink and the company of others.

For this Campfire Club we are delighted to present Gasper Nali.

Gasper Nali plays a Babatoni - a 3 meter, one-stringed, home-made bass guitar - with an empty bottle and a stick. And makes the most beautiful and catchy original afro-beats possible.

Gasper is a one-man-band, with the Babatoni bass guitar, cow skin kick drum and very catchy tunes. He is absolutely unlike anything else. It's super Malawian roots, it's very up beat and incredibly danceable! - or - as a Bandcamp fan nicely put it: "Gasper is a one man party! It's completely impossible to stop moving – and just as impossible to stop smiling!"

The support act for this show is Marie Bashiru. Hailing from south-east London, Marie Bashiru is a singer-songwriter whose music resembles a melting pot of folk, soul and indie rock.

Please note: this is an outdoor event so please dress appropriately for the weather. A bar service is available.

• Arrival times: Doors open at 7pm. The first set will begin by 8pm.

• On arrival: You do not need to print your tickets, our door staff will have your booking details.

• Food & drink: This event is not catered but we are running a bar, so please do not bring any alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own food.

Our bar will be providing a limited beer, wine and soft drink menu. We will be providing our sustainable, reusable cups, however feel free to bring your own cup if you would prefer.

• Weather forecast: The forecast looks warm, with a slight chance of rain, so please do dress accordingly. The event will be going ahead unless the weather turns extremely severe.

• Seating: Please feel free to bring your own fold-out chairs or picnic blankets. If you bring your own fold-out chair please be aware that you may be seated nearer the back so you don't block the view of those on the ground.

The Community Gardens, Seedley Pavilion, Buile Hill Park

However, you will need to park your vehicle outside of the park: On street parking is available on Gore Crescent and Lower Seedley Road.

The nearest tram stop is Langworthy which is about a 20 minute walk.
