A Saturday night of Latin American sounds and cumbia-ska-punk at Jamboree!
Radio Revolucion is a cumbia-ska-punk band born between London and the Basque Country in 2005. Kings of the alternative underground scene fusing Latin American sounds with Punk and Ska they have played all over South America rocking out La Paz, Montevideo and alongside Manu Chao in Buenos Aires. Radio Revolucion always represent the same idea of a powerful wind section , tight drum and bass and a bunch of positive and conscious lyrics to listen while people dance to the ancestral rhythm of the cumbia and the frenetic speed of their ska-punk. Viva la resistance!!!!
DJ CArlitos Nino will also play cumbia and world beats in between and afterwards. From Colombia, CArlitos showcases a fusion of Latin American music with a London twist. His remixes are influenced by world music, connecting a community to a selected component of its past whilst giving meaning to the present. Expect to hear a selection connecting the roots of latin music with the modern new wave of global beats, mixed with the most popular genres from Cumbia, Tropical Bass, Afro-latin roots, Salsa Brava, Folktronica, Dance, Funk, Disco and Urban denbow, mashups and popular rhythms! A latino reference in the UK!
