Vuk is a Finnish-American artist who has spent much of her life moving back and forth between Helsinki and New York, picking up new musical influences on the way. Her music explores inner, fictional dream landscapes, its hues tinged by everything from the avant-garde sensibility of Einst¸rzende Neubauten, Diamanda Gal·s and Bjork, to Balkan folk traditions, Carelian weeping songs, haitian Vodou rhythms and the cinematic melodrama of Spaghetti Westerns.
