Event information

The second(of two) launch shows for The Millipedes debut LP 'Shake Your Bones' released on Odd Box Records.

In foolhardy defiance of the increasing non-physical nature of musical product The Millipedes debut album Shake Your Bones is being released by Odd Box Records as a series of 3 7” EPs that when collected form a box set with amazing original artwork by Sheffield comic artist Oliver Allchin. The tracks that make up Shake Your Bones were partially produced by legendary Sheffield producer Alan Smyth (Pulp, The Arctic Monkeys, Reverend and the Makers) at his 2Fly studios in Sheffield.

Town Bike (Liverpool) - http://www.myspace.com/townbike

Coming down to London for a rare show in the capital are Town Bike. More of a gang than a band - Town Bike distill perfect pop music that is bubblegum hot and twice as tasty. If Helen Love had dated and mated Joey Ramone - Town Bike could well have been their offspring. They're pop to the core and an awful lot of fun too. Make sure you are strapped in for the ride of your life!

"This bunch match the sheer 60s pop ramalama delight of Ramones to the gorgeously outdated harmonies of Redd Kross or Teenage Fanclub on a song like 'Hey Hey Ho' or 'Bad Girls', plus the singer just has one of those swoonsome voices it's impossible to resist" - Everett True

"they never failed to impress with their fun packed shows" - Indie-MP3

The Millipedes (Sheffield) - http://www.myspace.com/themillipedes

Playing music that sounds like the raw punk of The Sonics mixed with the sleazy rhythm & blues of Andre Williams, The Millipedes can do super-stupid horror themed punk trash and seedily beautiful blues, sometimes at the same time. They are also available for your wedding band needs—the sight of a tent full of well dressed drunks dancing to “Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow” is not easily forgotten.

tELLEY (London) - http://www.myspace.com/telleyuk

In some ways tELLEY is the solo project of Jim from indiepop legends Spearmint as a showcase for his song-writing talent it also features the idiosyncratic drum style of longtime collaborator James Agnew (ex Scaramanga Six) . New members Sharon Leach and Thom Allott join tELLEY from The Gresham Flyers. This indiepop 'super group' excel at Scratchy guitars, ferocious drums, cut and paste keyboard noises all pinned together with simple melodies. Like your favourite band before they were famous.

"Cute and fun, revelling in short, simple, but down-right catchy melodies from start to finish." -There Goes The Fear
