Event information

THE SCHOOL are a female-fronted indiepop band from Cardiff. The band signed to legendary Spanish label Elefant Records after playing only four shows, and are currently recording tracks for their debut album 'Loveless Unbeliever' with Ian Catt (Saint Etienne/Stars/The Field Mice) which will be released in February 2010.

ALLO, DARLIN' are close friends that found each other and the music they make in London. Elizabeth and Bill are from Australia, Mike and Paul are from Kent. They've only been playing seriously as a band since January 2009, although Elizabeth has been releasing music under various guises since 2007. Their first single for Fortuna Pop!, 'The Polaroid Song', will be released in December 2009. This will be followed by an album and further singles in March 2010.

THE PETE GREEN CORPORATE JUGGERNAUT do sparkly pop songs about love, trains, pubs, patience, optimism, lower-division football and the NME being rubbish. Based in Sheffield, the band comprises indiepop singer-songwriter Pete Green on singing and guitar, Dan Hartley on bass and former Monkey Swallows the Universe and The Scarlet Tuesday drummer Rob Dean.

Danielle and Will of THE 10P MIXES met over a shared love of Pulp in 2004, and became friends, then after a while started going out with each other. Both being musically inclined, they started playing music together. In July 2007, having written six songs together they decided to begin playing in front of people and recently supported Calvin Johnson on the Liverpool leg of his last tour.
