Leicester Jazz House presents Geoff Gascoyne's pop bop - Geoff Gascoyne (bass), Jim Mullen (guitar), Sebastiaan de Krom (drums),Graeme Blevins (saxophones).
Geoff Gascoyne returns to leading his own group after six years touring and recording with Jamie Cullum, to give a selection of his favourite pop songs a swinging be-bop style makeover. With a repertoire including songs by the Stylistics, Diana Ross, Peter Gabriel and Gladys Knight thisband proves that good pop songs still make great material for jazz transformation. Expect music that’s bright, snappy and immediately accessible.
