MAKE SPARKS -
Few people can genuinely say that they have dedicated their life to music. However, the boys of Make Sparks are an example of three people who have done just that. Their Light in the Sky EP is a collection of enthralling, well crafted pop songs performed with true belief and enthusiasm; a result of the years of dedication invested in their craft. In addition to their own music, they have co-founded the Electric Bay festival which has taken place in Lunan Bay, near Carnoustie, for the last two years, and perform in a covers band to pay their living costs. It is apparent that music is the driving force of Craig, Adam and Bobby's lives. I spoke with Craig about their music, upcoming releases and the Electric Bay festival.

THE STRANDS -
he Strands are brothers Andrew and Steven Moore on guitars and Calum Bell on drums and formed in Nov 2006. Although they are only a three piece the band create a large raw powerful sound that is both melodic yet bursting with grunge angst. They draw on influences from the likes of AC/DC, Foo Fighers and BRMC to name but a few.
The Strands have had the privilege to play with some of this countries finest bands and have played in some of the countries finest venues including gigs in London, Liverpool and Sheffield. The band also had the pleasure of playing in Texas at The 2009 SXSW Festival.

CAST OF CAPITAL -
Cast Of The Capital is the name of our band. We formed in summer 2006 in Aberdeen, Scotland and continue to live there. Consisting of brothers Matt and Steve Morris, Alastair Naylor and Jamie Watt, we play pop-based indie rock music.
2009 has been a great year for us - with appearances at Rockness, Belladrum, GoNorth and Wizard Festival, as well as numerous tours in the summer. We have had the fortune to play alongside many bands which inspire us, and are pleased to have met so many friendly people along the way.
We released our debut EP 'Rotten Kids and Haversacks' via London's Kittiwake Records in September. Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland), Jim Gellatly (New Music), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) and Pete Mitchell (XFM) have all very kindly taken an interest in our band, and have played our tracks on their radio shows/podcasts. You can buy a copy through our BigCartel store or on iTunes, Play.com, Amazon.co.uk etc.
