Starting at the age of 5 and initially inspired by the music of the late great Chet Atkins, Richard Smith now calls Nashville Tn, home, and plays all styles of guitar. Coupled with the incredible tone of his cellist wife, the two will play everything from Jazz Standards, Django Licks, Hot Fingerpicking solos, Beatles tunes, originals, fiddle tunes, Bach and the classics to Scott Joplin rags and even Sousa Marches. Richard currently tours all over the US and Europe and has shared the stage with Chet Atkins, Martin Taylor, Suzy Boggus, Mark O’Connor, Sam Bush, Tommy Emmanuel, Les Paul, Joscho Stephan, Andreas Oberg, Joe Pass, and many others……
