Event information

Oh, we do we like to be beside the seaside. But, why? Here at the Catalyst Club we search for the scientific reason.
Affections of the Glands
The story of Brighton as a seaside resort began in 1750 with a single book, ‘A Dissertation on the Use of Seawater in the Affections of the Glands’ Sue Berry recounts the cures, the cons and the comedy.
Flushed with Success
Ben Green tells a tasteful tale of sewage treatment through the years, and why it will cost £300 million to ensure Sussex keeps its Blue Flag beaches.
A Peer Under the Pier
From fun finds to fantastic photos, some of Brighton’s finest divers tell about the fascinating world under the pier, including the strange and sometimes poignant objects that get flung off the end.
Doors 7.30pm £6
