Music by Schumann, Britten and Martinů, culminating in a performance of Beethoven’s radiant Sonata in A major.

Daniel Browell, who stunned the audience last season in his playing of Ravel’s Miroirs, returns to partner Ben Gregor-Smith who is on the cusp of his professional career. Ben is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where he won the highest grade in the RNCM Concerto Competition. He has performed with the Lindsay and Dante String Quartets, and in 2008 won the Sir John Barbirolli Cello Prize.
