'5 Go Swing Swing are an authentic four-piece band specialising in 1930's Gypsy jazz and Latin music drawing inspiration from the passion and beauty of Gypsy Swing.
They thrill their audiences with an irresistible mix of beautiful melodies combined with compelling dynamic and rhythmic variety. Playing with a zest and intensity that expresses the passion and romance of the Gypsy tradition.
Their repertoire moves between lyrical mid-tempo swing jazz tunes (popular standards such as Night and Day and Sweet Georgia Brown), profound ballads, traditional gypsy dances, exhilarating up-tempo swing, swaying bossa, bolero and waltz.
They have played: Brecon Jazz Festival, Pontypool Jazz in the Park, and to the Kinsale Jazz Festival. They are: Heulwen Thomas on violin, Richard Jones on guitar, Luke Archard on guitar and Gavin Johnson on bass. www.5goswing.com
