This is the second event for Amnesty's work in Iran. Named Bani Adam after the famous poem by Sa'adi (translation below) the name refers to human beings being part of a whole. A variety night with a super-charged atmosphere and a great mix of people, and an-all Iranian cast bringing you the best of experimental music, comedy and Persian sounds.

French group Arash Khalatbari and the Wise Orkestra are masters at creating sufi like trances with the over-layering of traditional Iranian instruments and electronics.

Funny man Patrick Monahan is a delightful mix of Irish Iranian and Geordie. After keeping the audience in tears with his comic wit and observation Patrick os back for more.

Hiatus is Cyrus Shahrad a soulful keyboard player and refined composer, who writes for film performing solo and in a live band. Hiatus is Shahrad's solo work in cinematic, Iranian-influenced electronica. With several album releases under his belt, Hiatus is set to conjure the most beautiful imagery in you, that you didn't even know was there.

Once BBC Proms/Guardian Young Composer of the Year, Shiva Fesharekhi is a top Royal College of Music graduate who employs the turntables in an innovative and challenging style. Shiva references her Persian roots and her UK music education in a 15 minute arts piece exclusively for a discerning urban-Iranian UK audience.

Peyvand Khorsandi is a stand-up comedian since Los Angeles 1999 where with his sister Shappi he ran a show called How To Be Iranian. Last year Khorsandi performed in Montreal, Toronto, Goa and Mumbai and now writes a weekly humour column for the newspaper Sunday Mid-Day.

Fari Bradley is presenter and producer of Six Pillars to Persia on Resonancefm, the UKs art -music radios station. Six Pillars to Persia looks at Iranian diaspora arts and modern Persian heritage.
