THE GIN RIOTS (London)
Literate Anglo-Irish punk-indie rockers the Gin Riots have wowed crowds, critics and the industry at North America's two new music showcases, NXNE in Toronto (2008) and SXSW (2009 and 2010) and have a string of singles under their belt, a song on an Afghan Whig tribute album, and their own debut album in the works.

FULCHER SMITH AND DANCE (London)
Drawn from the Hampshire countryside, the FSD trio of Marcus Fulcher, Paul Smith and Dance (the drum machine), started life as a bedroom brainchild of landscape pop melodies and multi layered guitars hooks. Soon, however, they ditched Dance and moved to London only to recruit a bass player and half of pop-punk giants ART BRUT. Now ready for life in the smoke, expect epic pop sensibilities but still plenty of Dance.
