The Junket Club presents... THE GOLDEN LIZARD

Presented by: Junket Club
0CARDIFF: Temple Of Peace
PSunday 30th May, 2010
N7:30pm

Event information

The Junket Club is quietly chuffed to present The Golden Lizard:

Floyd Vernon, rogue naturalist, is missing. His last expedition, documenting the selfishness of the Owl Beetle, is rumoured to have been a cover mission of vengeance - against The Golden Lizard. Will his long suffering assistant 'Butch' survive when all his predecessors have perished? What of Sinbad the Leech - friend or foe? A remarkable tale, written and performed by the mercurial Henry Paker (Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2008) and the distinguished and beautiful Mike Wozniak (Time Out New Act of 2008, if.comedy best newcomer nominee 2008).

WINNER OF BEST NEW SHOW, LEICESTER COMEDY FESTIVAL 2010.

“That sounds brilliant.”
“It is going to brilliant.”
“Can you vouch for that?”
“Yes.”
“Go on then.”
“Umm... vouch?”
“Great. Where is it?”
“The Temple Of Peace.”
“That sounds terrifying, what is that?”

It’s an excellent building in Cathays Park (home of such favourites as Cardiff Museum and City Hall). The architect of the Temple of Peace was Sir Percy Thomas, who was awarded the Bronze medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects for its design. That’s right - a gig in a building that won a BRONZE MEDAL. You know who else won a bronze medal (at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics)? Kriss Akabusi. The building was also used in Doctor Who, where it stood in as a space station five billion years in the future.

No postal tickets this time but if you have a strong biscuit preference, send us an e-mail to thejunketclub@gmail.com with your biscuit nominations.

Age suitability: 15+
Doors open at 7.30pm.
