The Clanranald Adventure will transform Colzium Lennox Estate into a magical landscape of encampments, armouries, forest kitchens and battlefield hospitals. Hosted by the Clanranald Trust, the historical trail will come alive with Roman warriors, medieval lords, strapping blacksmiths and master archers ready to take you on a step back in time.

Fresh from their appearance as combat warriors in Russell Crowe’s Robin Hood movie, Clanranald will be encouraging visitors to release their inner warrior and really experience what life smelt, tasted and felt like in ancient times.

“There will be loads of costumes and props to handle and wear on the trail from roman armour to medieval chainmail” said Clansman Charlie Allan “and with fun activities such as archery, bread-making and fire juggling to take part in, we are sure this will be an amazing day out for all the family.”

Elsewhere on the BIG KIC festival site, the Big Top will host the Craigenroan Ceilidh Cup offering visitors the chance to hear and dance to some of Scotland’s finest ceilidh bands, as well as an arts and crafts market, funfair and food and drink stalls that will be open throughout the day.

NOTE: Under 12s go free but must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult aged 18 or over.
