Two superb musicians, fiddle player Dan (brother of the late Eva Cassidy) and guitarist James (Uiscedwr and Nathan & Quinn, formerly the Badgers) are back with us for a third time for what we know will be a musical treat.
Dan is a musical legend in the bluegrass and swing worlds and was a major player in the career of his sister Eva. He's one the finest fiddle player we’ve ever had at Rugby Roots, and we’ve had them all. His between song banter is great too with lots of stories from his years on the road. It’s quite bizarre to hear him play a beautiful tune on the violin then step up to the microphone and deliver a monologue in a voice that sounds more like Jack Nicholson than the man himself. These are two very busy musicians and with Dan being based in Iceland they can only tour once a year so we would urge lovers of quality live music to come along and catch them while they can, they can expect a fantastic show with dazzling virtuosity and a journey across a wide range of musical genres.
Given their numerous musical commitments opportunities to see this great duo are few and far between so don't miss out.
