Revised Line Up
Kevin now seems to start each New Year for us in typical rocking mode.
This gig was originally billed as the 10th anniversary of the Roadtrippers. Sadly the two guys from the Mavericks, Paul Deakin and Robert Reynolds are not now available although Mike McAdam (guitar) from Steve Earle & The Dukes is. However Kevin has added Shawn Byrne, Will Hatcher and Jonathan Birchfield, so we will have a full five piece band. If you have already bought tickets on the basis of the Roadtrippers band and don\'t now want to come, I will be happy to refund your money. By all accounts though the revised band, which Kevin has called The Endangered Livers is really cooking.
Kevin grew up on Nashville's Music Row, as a child of parents whose careers crossed over from country music to the early, seminal days of American rock 'n' roll. Kevin's father, Bob Montgomery was an early songwriting and collaborative partner of Buddy Holly and his mother, Carol had a thriving career as a Nashville session vocalist, singing back up on pop classics like Elvis Presley's 'Suspicious Minds'. While the contemporary yet timeless feel of Kevin's own music is strongly influenced by the 'California Country-Rock' of artists like Gram Parsons, The Eagles, and Roger McGuinn, his deeply resonant songwriting recalls the Americana-flavored storytelling of Bruce Springsteen and Jackson Browne.
