CHIE MUKAI
Kyoku, percussions, voice, dance …
Chie Mukai studied under Taj Mahal Traveller (and later Merce Cunningham musical director) Kosugi Takehisa, playing Kokyu (a traditional Japanese string instrument). She started the legendary improvising unit ‘Ché-SHIZU’ in ’81.
She has played with Tori Kudo, Masayoshi Urabe, Rinji Fukuoka, Jim O’Rourke, Eric Cordier, Fred Frith and Ikuro Takahashi and released a clutch of brilliant sides on Siwa, PSF, Alchemy and more.

Member of Dustbreeders (with Yves Botz & Thierry delles) and Howlin’Ghost Proletarians (with Fabrice Eglin), Henritzi is also the producer of the labels A Bruit Secret and Turtles’Dreams.
He has played with Tetuzi Akiyama, Rinji Fukuoka, Jojo Hiroshige, Junko, Kumiko Karino, Masayoshi Urabe, Chie Mukaï, Tamio Shiraishi, Yukiko Nakamura, Fumio Kosakai, Masafumi Ezaki, Taku Sugimoto, Shin’ichi Isohata, Toshimaru Nakamura, Ito Atsuhiro, Kiyoharu Kuwayama, Tetsuo Furudate, Ami Yoshida, Mattin, Quentin Dubost, Bruno Fernandes, Nicolas Moulin, Miguel Prado, Aya Onishi and the Nihilist Spasm Band.
