When William Buckland met Mary Anning amidst the fossils of Lyme Regis beach, it was the start of a collaboration that would alter the course of both their lives. Giants in the Earth, is the story of a discovery that rocked the scientific, social and religious thinking of 1800’s challenging the understanding of the worlds creation. So devastating were the implications of this research, steps were taken at the highest level to conceal these finds and ultimately Buckland’s dedication to the truth cost him his sanity.

Join Oxfordshire Theatre Company for a unique opportunity to view an entirely original piece of musical theatre in development. This rehearsed reading will include music from the original score performed by established and up and coming West End performers, and offers the opportunity to be involved in an audience consultation with the writer, composer and director.
