The London Air-Accordion Society presents...
"It's Going To Be An Awkward Christmas, Darling"
It's December already - that time of year when Slade gets more airtime than should be legal... but this year it could be so different. Musical comedian Helen Arney ("harnesses the spirit of Ben Folds and the Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon" - Chortle) and Cambridge-based drummer and writer Paul Richards have been hard at work since the September, recording an EP of festive songs that will make your Winterval sound Wonderful.
Tonight Helen and Paul will play a few cheery numbers, and a few less cheery, from "It's Going To Be An Awkward Christmas, Darling" with the help of stand-up and musical comedians Terry Saunders, Bec Hill, Jay Foreman, Julia Clark, Nathaniel Metcalfe, Rachel Parris, and a suspiciously unfestive headline set from the original grumpy young man Robin Ince.
Sleigh bells and singalong anti-carols guaranteed. Bah, humbug!
Tickets are £6 in advance, or £4.50 if you're a facebook group member or on the mailing list.
