Embracing the space between classical, folk and jazz, Wallumrød’s evocative compositions perfectly capture the distinctive, delicate sound worlds peculiar to these exceptional musicians.
Performing without electronics or PA, this tour provides a rare chance to hear some of Europe’s most exciting musicians in their purest state. Featuring the haunting trumpet of Arve Henriksen (Iain Ballamy Food, Supersilent), innovative folk fiddler Nils Økland (BBC Concert Orchestra Nordic Adventures, Nils Økland Trio) and drummer Per Oddvar Johansen, Wallumrød’s Ensemble conjures up a magical landscape that is ‘Very quiet and very strong.’ The Guardian
