SHATTERJAPAN (www.facebook.com/SHATTERJAPAN) presents this special non-profit festival of music and performance spread over 2 days.

On 21 February 2012, members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot performed a "punk prayer" in a Moscow church for which they were arrested, detained for over 5 months and eventually sentenced on 17 August 2012 to 2 years imprisonment. With two of the three members remaining imprisoned (Nadezhda "Nadya" Tolokonnikova and Maria "Masha" Alyokhina) in separate and remote penal colonies, SHATTERJAPAN brings you 2 days of entertainment provided by artists from the UK & international music, film and performance worlds, to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of the sentencing, to appeal for the women's release, and to celebrate freedom of expression.
